Gandhi

The Power to Change the World

  • How did Gandhi: the man become Gandhi: one of the greatest spiritual leaders that the world has ever seen?
  • How did he translate the knowledge he encountered into the wisdom he lived?
  • In our modern world today, how can each one of us be the change we want to see in the world?
Mahatma Gandhi, an ordinary man, constantly applied his basic ideals of truth, love and service to transform himself into one of the greatest spiritual leaders of the 20th century. He led a 30 year campaign of non-violent resistance and eventually led India to freedom from British rule in 1947.

It was the first time in history that a nation was able to free itself without violence.

An accomplished "Warrior of Spirit", Gandhi, even after his death, has inspired millions of people, including many leaders such as Martin Luther King, Nelson Mandela and Barack Obama.

"Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever." - Mahatma Gandhi
